Had I maligned someone you didn't like in such a facile way, would it have provoked this reaction? Or would you merely have snickered in tacit complicity and complimented me upon my choice of target?
So - I took issue with someone who rode on the back of the 80's zeitgeist, callously adopting a political stance she clearly didn't believe in, merely to line her own pockets.
Someone who'll sing in the Queen's backgarden for the sake of exposure. Someone who can now be heard doing voice-overs for BBC documentaries in order to pay the rent.
Well, next time I'll choose Bryan Adams and we'll all happily agree to the legitimacy of that.
However, that much said...
do make sure you're as good as your word and keep your eye on me.

Now there I draw the line. I absolutely LOVE Annie Lennox, and I'll not have her maligned in such a facile way. Euphony, you say? No other voice so compels me to sing along. I know nothing of her radical feminism, here in my forgotten corner of the world we don't get any of that, and as for sell-by date, well monsieur, I for one can only dream of being that vibrant at age eleventy or whatever. I see I shall have to keep my eye on you, you'll be attacking Debbie Harry next, or Chrissy Hynde.
