A couple of years back, I used to work with a colleague who would cover herself in labels. Moschino, Vuitton, Cartier, Dior, Miyake, Balmain - she wore the lot, very often in confusing combination.
Said colleague duly thought herself a sophisticated and successful woman. All well and good.
But...
why, exactly, do we willingly accept that it's an expression of individuality to wear other people's names all over us?
A portrayal of an image which subconsciously may extrude wealth perhaps?
Look at me I am healthy, rich and successful. Come mate with me...
